Die online-feature Reihe bietet in einem monatlichen Rhythmus Studierenden und Interessierten Gelegenheit f\u00fcr Austausch zu Technologieentwicklungen in China und ihren Einfl\u00fcssen auf die Gesellschaft(en). Wie sieht die Zukunft der digitalen Gesellschaftstransformation in China und Europa aus? Und welche Rolle spielen digitale Innovationstechnologien im Leben der Menschen?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Chinnotopia\" data-node-id=\"\/2\/477\/478\/850\/851\/133921\/312563\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/shan-hd.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/fittosize_500_281_47817c4997af61b637aa6d2d73417f81_nl_106_4_.jpg\" style=\"border-style: solid; border-width: 0px; border-color: black; margin: 0px;\" width=\"500\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nach einer kurzen Einf\u00fchrung macht die Keynote-Referentin, Miriam Theobald, den Anfang. Die Mitgr\u00fcnderin und Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrerin der Plattform DONGXii stellt ausgew\u00e4hlte digitale Trends vor, die in China nicht erst seit der Corona-Pandemie den Alltag der Menschen mitbestimmen. Allgemein identifiziert die Wirtschaftssinologin und Humangeographin eine Neuorientierung vom Produkt hin zum Service. Life Streaming und soziale Medien dominieren in China die Lebenswelt. Wie das chinesische <em>virtual social life<\/em> aussehen kann, skizziere der Dokumentarfilm <a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/ondemand\/peoplesrepublicofdesire\/306728630\">\u201ePeople\u2019s Republic of Desire\u201c<\/a>. Digitale Assistenten wie der <em>smart speaker Xiaodu<\/em> \u5c0f\u5ea6 schlichen sich \u00fcber die Generationen hinweg in das Leben. Ein digitaler Assistent lernt, die Stimme der Mutter zu imitieren und liest den Kindern die Gute-Nacht-Geschichte vor, er h\u00f6rt am anderen Ende der Leitung der Telefon-Seelsorge zu, misst den Blutdruck des Gro\u00dfvaters, lernt im Hintergrund, wie der Realtime-Lehrer unterrichtet, um diesen sp\u00e4ter zu ersetzen. So k\u00f6nnte die Zukunft aussehen. Mit der Aufforderung, China als Reallabor anzuerkennen und sich ohne eine Wertebrille anzuschauen, wie die digitale Transformation dort funktioniert, schlie\u00dft Miriam Theobald ihren Input.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bevor die anschlie\u00dfende Diskussion beginnt, bietet die Heidelberger Doktorandin amerikanischer Literatur, Ulrike Freitag, mit Bezug auf den Titel der Veranstaltungsreihe eine kurze Einf\u00fchrung in den Ursprung utopischer und dystopischer Ideologien. W\u00e4hrend das auf Platon zur\u00fcckgehende und im 16. Jahrhundert von dem britischen Politiker Thomas More gepr\u00e4gte Konzept der Utopie eine Idealgesellschaft abbildet, stellt die im 19. Jahrhundert von John Stuart Mill gepr\u00e4gte Dystopie den Gegenentwurf hierzu dar, n\u00e4mlich einen Ort, an dem es schlecht um die Dinge bestellt ist. Die Mitveranstalterin und Alumna der Universit\u00e4t Heidelberg Dr. Josie-Marie Perkuhn betont die unterschiedlichen, meist auch kulturell beeinflussten, Perspektiven: So wird des Einen Utopie des Anderen Dystopie.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Vor diesem Hintergrund geht es in die Diskussion zwischen Innovations- und Entrepreneurship-Bef\u00fcrworterInnen und -SkeptikerInnen, die von der Frage bestimmt wird, wie Deutschland oder auch Europa als Ganzes diese Innovationsentwicklungen und die damit einhergehenden Standardsetzungen aktiv mitgestalten kann.
